Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence for D-2 Visa holders
If a student holding a D-2 (Study Abroad) visa takes a leave of absence, the visa becomes invalid. The student must therefore leave Korea within 30 days from the date the leave of absence is approved. Failure to do so will result in being classified as an undocumented/illegal resident.

Students who require a D-2 (Study Abroad) visa to stay in Korea must apply for a Certificate of Admission at the One-Stop Service Center when submitting their request for reinstatement (returning from a leave of absence).
